Principle
Of Operation
|
|
The
instrument uses a low pressure
mercury lamp powered by a high
stability circuit. Light from this
source passes through the cell and
then through a UV-pass filter (l =
254nm) and VIS-pass filter (l =
365~435 nm).
The analyser calculates the
difference between AUV and AVIS and
generates an output signal via a V/I
converter. By using this system,
obscuration due to the presence of
mud in the sample can be compensated
for and the instrument can
effectively determine the
concentration of organic pollutants
in the sample.

Notes
|
-
Unit can operate on both 50 or 60 Hz
power.
-
Unit can operate on
non-standard power supplies by using
a step down transformer available
separately (such as Model ZP type).
-
Three types of transmission
outputs are available. These are UV,
UV-VIS and VIS or converted COD
value (VIS and converted COD value
can be changed from the key-pad).
-
AUTO is the automatic range
switch of absorptiometer
0.5/1.0/2.0/2.5 and is available as
standard equipment. Use by fixed
range when combine with total load.
-
Maximum length for
transmitter-sensor cable is 30m.
-
If the FRP support stand is
not required, indicate
“non-support stand” under
installation style.
-
For sample
extraction/collection style
installations, it is unnecessary to
arrange the winch equipment and also
the UV meter sampling water tank,
Model OPM-410W.
-
For easier installation
method, make the best use of OPM-410
type’s advantages, we suggest the
hanging style configuration with two
of 3.5mm chains (if this
specification is selected, the
detector will be provided with two
eye bolts).
-
In
case of no wall around the guide pipe of the winch
equipment, the detector may rotate. In these situations,
select ‘dual guide pipes style’. The same is also
applicable to fast moving stream applications.
