Surface Salinity Meter

The Model SSM-14P enables easy verification of the surface salinity prior to painting on steel surfaces. It is used in the fabrication of steel structures such as ships, bridges, storage tanks etc.. The measurement is performed simply and directly in real time. This has the advantages of excellent measurement accuracy and improved efficiency for preparation work for painting.

Direct Reading of Salinity
Concentration of surface salinity (mg/m2) can be directly read with conversions calculations.

Automatic Temperature Compensation
ATC (automatic temperature compensation) converts the measurement to the value at 25 deg C.

Sample Collection Not Required
Measurement can be simply carried out by placing measurement cell onto the steel surface and injecting pure water using the attached syringe. The measuring cell is magnetic allowing easy fixing to any flat surface. Complex and error-prone sample collection procedures and laboratory measurement are not required.

Lightweight & Compact
Meter and sensor cell have been designed for portability allow them to be easily carried to the measurement location.

Printer or Recorder Output Available
Optional printer or recorder units can be connected to the meter.
